Movement is central to who we are- how we experience ourselves and how others perceive us. While the FeldenkraisĀ® Method can be a powerful way to reduce tension and experience your capacity for fluid, graceful movement, the improvements in movement are not considered an end in and of themselves.
Because our habits of moving, thinking, feeling, and acting are deeply intertwined at a neurological level, changes in any on of these areas can have effects on all of the others. If you currently practice yoga or meditation, or in psychotherapy, the FeldenkraisĀ® Method will likely to support these practices.
Whether you choose to take Awareness Through Movement classes, Functional Integration lessons, or to combine the two will depend on your needs and interests.
